Benoit woke at 1am with the unmistakable stomach of a man who should not have eaten that catfish. Five hours of misery followed, holed up in a wooden shack toilet in the middle of the jungle with nowhere else to go — plenty of time to seriously question the life choices that led him to the Amazon in the first place.

In Tinghir, our guest house heat system wasn't working properly, and we slept at 1 celcius in a very cold cavern in Morroco desert (November 22th, 2025)

Worst Weather Disaster

The worst weather of the entire trip hit without warning, right after lunch: clear sun to torrential rain and wind in under two minutes. The whole family scrambled to hold down our tarp, the only thing keeping our luggage dry, while the guides went into full protector mode, hacking through massive tree roots to redirect the water and save our camp from being swallowed whole.
